I believe that nutrition represents 70% of achieving your weight loss goals. Yes 70%! No matter how much training you do, if you do not eat correctly you are wasting unnecessary energy and burning yourself out through training excessively to achieve your goals!

You will lose weight on any diet provided you are in a negative calorie deficit. This means you need to be expending more calories through your daily activity than what you are consuming. The type of weight you lose ie. lean muscle tissue, body fluid and excess body fat can be heavily influenced by the ratio of proteins, carbohydrates and essential fats you consume.

Ideally you want something that is easily achievable for you to maintain to suit your lifestyle.

A personalised plan based on your body weight, level of daily activity and lean muscle mass works best in allowing you to lose mainly excess bodyfat and fluid, and preserve precious lean muscle tissue. Why? Because the more lean muscle tissue you preserve, the higher your metabolic rate will be for you to burn more fat calories!

Remember muscle weighs heavier than fat! So jumping on the scales every day will not tell you exactly what is happening. I recommend taking your measurements and/or having a bodyfat test on a monthly basis to truly measure your results.
